Mike Hooks, LLC, a leading dredging contractor along the Gulf Coast, announces they were awarded the contract to perform maintenance dredging in the Calcasieu River and Pass– a nearly $13 million contract.
The Company submitted their bid through the competitive contract opportunity from the US Army Corps of Engineers to provide dredging services in Calcasieu and Cameron parishes in south Louisiana.
The scope of the project includes dredging of approximately 1.9 million cubic yards of maintenance material from the Calcasieu River as well as nearly 12 miles of dike construction. The project is scheduled to start in early 2021 and be completed by next summer.
